NEW PROCEDURES FOR THE CANCELLATION OF REGISTRATION OF VEHICLES PERMANENTLY EXPORTED ABROAD

The Italian Minister of Transport and Infrastructure and the ‘Automobile Club d’Italia’ created a new and easier method for the procedures related to the permanent export of Italian vehicles registered abroad. 

In case of request for the cancellation of vehicles’ registration due to permanent export abroad, it is necessary to fill out a form, sign it, attach the relevant documentation and submit it to the Consular Office. To download the form, click here. 

When requesting the cancellation of a vehicle’s registration, it is necessary:

– to indicate the foreign address where the ACI can send the certificate attesting the cancellation of a vehicle’s registration;
– to provide proof that postage costs have already been paid in advance.
