THE RAI PROGRAMME “LINEA BLU” WINS THE “MALTA INTERNATIONAL TOURISM PRESS AWARDS” FOR BEST TELEVISION DOCUMENTARY

The RAI programme “Linea Blu” won the “Malta International Tourism Press Awards” award for best television documentary after airing a programme on the millennial history and natural beauty of the Maltese archipelago last June.

The award was presented to Donatella Bianchi, a journalist and presenter of this programme, during a ceremony held on Thursday 27th March in the presence of the Maltese authorities entrusted with promoting tourism.

The “Malta International Tourism Press Awards”, now in their 5th edition, are organised by the Malta Tourism Authority and aim at giving recognition to those journalists and photographers who have contributed to developing the image and tourism of Malta through their feature stories in the print media and on radio, television or internet.

This year from over 190 candidates two Italians managed to win the award: besides Donatella Bianchi, Serena Roberti won third place in the category of “Encounters, Conferences and Exhibitions” thanks to an article published on the magazine E20.

The Italians are second in place among the foreign visitors who come to Malta each year.
