MINISTER FOR THE ECONOMY, INVESTMENT AND SMALL BUSINESS CHRISTIAN CARDONA’S VISIT TO ITALY

On 30th January, the Maltese Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business Christian Cardona will be participating in the second conference of “EU Countries Friends of Industry” to be held at Villa Madama in Rome.

The conference, sponsored by the Italian Minister for Economic Development Flavio Zanonato, is the result of a broader commitment to reassert the EU’s leadership in the strategic industrial sectors. Moreover the conference aims at presenting means and ways of promoting European business in international competition in view of the European Council of Competitiveness in February and the following appointments in Brussels.

This is the first visit of Minister Cardona in Italy and he will be having bilateral talks with his counterpart to discuss matters of common interest, particularly Malta’s link with the European energy network (like gas and electricity), Valletta’s participation in the 2015 Milan EXPO and further strengthening of productive investments.
