On 25th – 27th February the Deputy Police Commissioner, Prefect Fulvio Della Rocca, led an Italian delegation, which included the director of Italian Interpol Dr. Gennaro Capoluogo, on a visit to Malta. The Prefect met top officials of the Maltese Police Force at the AFM general headquarters and was also received by the Minister of Home Affairs and National Security, the Hon. Carmelo Abela.
During the talks held with local counterparts, the Deputy Commissioner Della Rocca reiterated Italy’s commitment to cooperate with Malta in the field of security. On a technical level, the two parties discussed various modalities and joint initiatives to further strengthen bilateral relations in matters of common interest. The Ambassador of Italy, Giovanni Umberto De Vito, was also present for the talks.
