On 12th February 2015, the artistic exhibition “Shared Traces” was inaugurated at the Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta. The exhibition is organised by the National Confederation of Craftsmen of Abruzzo and is being held under the patronage of the ‘Polo di Innovazione dell’Artigianato Artistico della Regione Abruzzo’ and the ‘Area Artigianato Artistico di Pescara’ art gallery of Abruzzo.
The exhibition with the participation of craftsmen from Abruzzo and Malta will be displaying artistic artefacts ranging from jewellery, ceramics and glass to stone, wrought iron and wood and will highlight the common traits in the craftsmanship of Abruzzo and Malta.
During the same week a stand exhibiting handicrafts for sale will be set up at Pjazza Teatru Rjal in Valletta. In collaboration with the Maltese Department of Commerce, a seminar will be held on 13th February at 2.30pm with the aim of promoting an exchange of experience and knowledge amongst the artisans of Abruzzo and Malta.
