In the framework of the activities linked to the Italian Presidency of the European Union, the Ambassador of Italy, Giovanni Umberto De Vito, hosted a working lunch at his residence with the Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat and the Minister for Foreign Affairs George Vella. The event also saw the participation of the ambassadors of the Member States of the European Union (some of whom travelled from Rome especially for this occasion).
The event enabled a broad and in-depth discussion on the Maltese priorities regarding the main themes on the European and international agenda, on the eve of the European Council meeting of 23rd and 24th October.
