On 20th May the Parliamentary Secretary for European Affairs, the Hon. Sandro Gozi received the Maltese Parliamentary Secretary for EU Funds the Hon. Ian Borg in Rome. During the meeting both parts exchanged views on bilateral collaboration and collaboration within the EU with particular attention to the forthcoming Italian Presidency of the European Union.
The talks also focused on immigration and both parts agreed on the importance for the next European Council in June to adopt measures aimed at improving the management of growing migration flows coming from North Africa.
