ITALY HOSTS THE SECOND CONFERENCE OF THE “EU COUNTRIES FRIENDS OF INDUSTRY” (ROME, 30TH JANUARY 2014).

Upon the initiative of the Minister for Economic Development the Hon. Zanonato the second European ministerial conference of the Friends of Industry was held in Rome on 30th January.

During the conference there was a broad consensus among the member states of the European Union in favour of an ‘industrial compact’ capable of giving a boost to the competitiveness and growth of the European economy.

This joint statement has been undersigned by the representatives of the 17 participating countries including the Maltese Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business, the Hon. Christian Cardona.
