VISIT TO ROME BY THE PRIME MINISTER JOSEPH MUSCAT (ROME, 15TH JULY 2013)

Last July 15th the Maltese Prime Minister Joseph Muscat met his Italian colleague Enrico Letta in Palazzo Chigi in Rome.

The meeting, which was also attended by the Italian Ambassador in Malta Giovanni Umberto De Vito, was focused on the decision of the Italian Government to set the Mediterranean Sea and the immigration issues at the core of the agenda of the Italian Presidency of the European Council in 2014.

The two Prime Ministers also decided to restart the technical talks on the delimitation of the continental shelf in view of a possible joint exploitation.
