On board of the motorboat “Audacia”, Ambassador Giovanni Umberto De Vito participated – together with the Maltese Ministers of Tourism (Karmenu Vella), Economy (Chris Cardona) and the Financial Director of the Grimaldi Holding (Giulio Verri) – at the inauguration ceremony of the new Italy-Malta connection by the Grimaldi Holding.
“Audacia” – which boasts of 67 cabins, 211 armchairs, 30 camper spaces and over a hundred car spaces – will travel along the Salerno-Augusta-Malta route three times a week guaranteeing transport for both passengers and goods from Salerno, Sicily and Malta.
The service, which adds to the maritime and air connections between Italy and Malta, has scheduled departures from Augusta on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 9am (arriving in Malta after about 5 hours of sea) and departures from Malta on Mondays and Wednesdays at 4.30pm and Saturdays at 12pm.
