Applications are now open for three scientific awards promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, aimed at promoting Italian research excellence worldwide. The awards are as follows:
1) The Farnesina Prize “Italian Bilateral Scientific Cooperation Award,” this year dedicated to Italian researchers under the age of forty who have distinguished themselves abroad for their contribution to scientific progress. Specifically, the winner will receive a grant of approximately €15,000 to cover expenses incurred during a three-month stay at a research institution, selected based on the preferences indicated in the application. The researcher will also have the opportunity to present their research at the Conference of Scientific, Space, and Agricultural Experts, to be held in Reggio Calabria in November. 2) The “Innovation that Speaks Italian” Award, which aims to recognize the high innovative value of technology startups founded by Italian citizens and operating abroad. Awarded startups will also be invited to present their research at the aforementioned conference, in the segment dedicated to startups. 3) Finally, the “Science, She Says!” Award, awarded to five young non-Italian female researchers under the age of forty, from five geographical areas (Africa and the Middle East; Asia and the Pacific; Europe; Central and South America; North America). The award includes a diploma and a commemorative plaque, which will be presented to the winners at a dedicated event.
