Message from Ambassador Setta to her fellow compatriots
Dear fellow compatriots,
It is with great emotion and a deep sense of responsibility that I address you for the first time as Ambassador of Italy to Malta.
Taking on this role in a country so close to Italy in terms of history, culture and traditions is a special honor for me. Malta has been a crossroads of peoples and civilizations for centuries, and the Italian presence here is alive, dynamic and an integral part of the social and economic fabric of the island.
I would like to extend you a warm greeting and assure you of my commitment to be, together with the entire Embassy, an open, available and attentive point of reference for your needs.
Our community – made up of professionals, entrepreneurs, students, families and pensioners – is a concrete witness to the value of Italy abroad. Your contribution to the promotion of our language, our culture and our spirit of collaboration is a source of pride for our entire country.
There will be many occasions in which we will be able to meet and collaborate, and I count on constant dialogue with each of you to further strengthen the bond between Italy and Malta.
With warmest regards and gratitude,
Valentina Setta
