Consular services are provided according to the principles of equality, impartiality, efficiency and transparency.
The reception of the public at the Consulate Offices takes place Monday to Friday by appointment only.
Access Procedures to Consular services:
- Electronic Identity Card (CIE) and Passport Renewal or Issuance: appointments are assigned exclusively through the new Prenot@Mi platform.
👉 Access Prenot@mi. - AIRE registration (new registration, change of address, etc.): please proceed to create a user account via the FAST IT portal (Consular Services Online) and upload the required documents as indicated in the AIRE section of the Embassy website.
- CIVIL STATUS documents (birth, marriage, civil union, death, separation, divorce): please follow the instructions as available in the dedicated section, download and fill in the relevant forms and send the whole documentation by registered mail to: 5, Vilhena Street, Floriana, FRN1040.

- CITIZENSHIP requests and NOTIFICATIONS OF DOCUMENTS TO FELLOW CITIZENS: please send requests to the e-mail address cittadinanza.lavalletta@esteri.it.
- NAVIGATION: navigazione.lavalletta@esteri.it (for use by shipping companies, national vessels, Port Authorities, Territorial Inspectorates for Communications, Certification Bodies – RINA, Bureau Veritas, etc. – and for procedures relating to maritime personnel).
