The Embassy of Italy in Malta represents the Italian State in the Republic of Malta and works to strengthen and develop bilateral relations between the two countries, based on long-standing ties of friendship, cooperation and cultural closeness.
The Embassy promotes Italy’s political, economic, cultural and scientific interests in Malta, fostering institutional dialogue and cooperation at the European and international levels. Particular attention is devoted to the promotion of the Italian language and culture, as well as to supporting cultural, artistic and academic initiatives.
Through its consular activities, the Embassy provides assistance and services to Italian citizens residing in or temporarily present in Malta, safeguarding their rights and facilitating their integration into the local context.
The Embassy also supports Italian businesses by promoting opportunities for trade and investment, in cooperation with the relevant Italian and Maltese institutions.
