Evolution of foreign direct investment between Italy and Malta.
From 2013 to 2023, Italian investments in Malta grew steadily, a sign of Italian business confidence in the country. Maltese investments in Italy have fluctuated more but remain significant. The debt component is limited, while long-term investments prevail. These data demonstrate a strong economic relationship between Italy and Malta.
