The Embassy of Italy warmly welcomes the decision of the Maltese Government, announced during the meeting between the Prime Minister Hon. Joseph Muscat and his Italian counterpart Hon. Enrico Letta held in Rome last July 15th, to officially participate in Expo Milano 2015 “Feeding the Plane – Energy for Life”. As stated by Hon. Letta “We want an Expo with a European character and also thanks to your participation it will be very Mediterranean”.
This important announcement witnesses the longstanding friendship between Italy and Malta and the common will of both Governments to constantly renew the excellent bilateral cooperation through new initiatives also on global issues like sustainable development, environment and energy. In this regard, Expo Milano 2015 as the major international, European and Mediterranean exhibition will provide an exceptional opportunity to further promote Malta’s image worldwide and its many talents as a tourist, investment and business destination also thanks to the expected attendance of approximately 150 countries.
