Zanonato the second European ministerial conference of the Friends of Industry was held in Rome on 30th January. <BR><BR>During the conference there was a broad consensus among the member states of the European Union in favour of an \u2018industrial compact\u2019 capable of giving a boost to the competitiveness and growth of the European economy.<BR><BR>This <A href=\"\/resource\/2014\/02\/73652_f_amb61Final_Declaration_rev.pdf\">joint statement<\/A> has been undersigned by the representatives of the 17 participating countries including the Maltese Minister for the Economy, Investment and Small Business, the Hon.
