The Type \u201cD\u201d re-entry visa allows foreigners who hold an Italian residence permit that has expired, or who are incidentally without such a document, to return to Italy.<\/p>\n

Processing Times and Costs<\/strong><\/p>\n

The processing time for this type of visa can take up to 90 days.<\/p>\n

The visa\u2019s fee is \u20ac116.00.<\/p>\n

Documentation to be submitted<\/strong><\/p>\n

On the day of your appointment the following documents must be provided:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Application form<\/strong> for D-type\/National visa duly filled up and signed;<\/li>\n
  2. Passport-size photo<\/strong> compliant with international ICAO standards<\/a>, full front, white background, and not older than 6 months;<\/li>\n
  3. A valid passport<\/strong> (and a copy) satisfying the following criteria:\n
      \n
    1. Its validity must extend at least three months beyond the duration of the requested visa;<\/li>\n
    2. It must contain at least two blank pages;<\/li>\n
    3. It must have been issued within the last 10 years.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n
    4. Copy<\/strong> the lost\/stolen\/expired Italian residence permit\/Permesso di soggiorno<\/em>;<\/li>\n
    5. Previous Schengen or National Visa (if applicable);<\/li>\n
    6. A declaration<\/strong> describing in detail the situation of the applicant and the reason for requiring the re-entry visa together with any relevant supporting documentation. The declaration must also mention the exact date of exit from Italy and the residential address.<\/li>\n
    7. If the Italian residence permit\/Permesso di soggiorno<\/em> was lost or stolen, copy of the Official Police report<\/strong>;<\/li>\n
    8. Once the authorisation has been received, the applicant\u00a0must provide one way travel ticket reservation<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      PLEASE NOTE<\/strong><\/p>\n

      In order to release the visa, the Consular office will need to be authorised from the competent Questura (Police station).<\/p>\n
