For long stay visas beyond 90 days please download and fill up Long term application form(attached)<\/li>\n<li>Valid passport or travel document (original plus photocopy),\u00a0valid at least 3 months beyond the return date of your trip from Italy\u00a0and at least with two blank pages for\u00a0<strong>Schengen\/Short term visa<\/strong>. Valid passport or travel document (original plus photocopy),\u00a0valid at least 3 months\u00a0and with at least with two blank pages for\u00a0<strong>National\/Long term visa<\/strong>. The passport will be kept and returned with the visa, if approved;<\/li>\n<li>Valid Maltese Residence Permit and Maltese Visa (original and photocopy), valid at least 1 (one) month beyond the return date of your trip in Italy for\u00a0<strong>Schengen\/Short term visa<\/strong>. Valid Maltese Residence Permit (original plus photocopy) for\u00a0<strong>National\/Long term visa<\/strong>;<\/li>\n<li>Passport-style photo full front and white background and not older than 6 months;<\/li>\n<li>Proof of being a high qualified professional. To support this, the applicant:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>\u2013 must have a Bachelors\u2019 Degree or a post-secondary professional qualification (lasting at least three years); OR<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 must have at least three years of relevant professional experience gained in the seven years prior to the application submission, proving that the applicant is a manager or specialist in the specific field; OR<\/p>\n<p>\u2013 must have a professional qualification supported by at least five years of professional experience (providing, as supporting evidence, the employment contract or the binding offer + company information and a letter from the employer specifying: role, starting date and duration of the contract.)<\/p>\n<p>Alternatively, in case of applicants who hold one of the professions listed in the following link: Elenco Professioni regolamentate e autorit\u00e0 competenti \u2013\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.impresainungiorno.gov.it\/\">Home \u2013 impresainungiorno.gov.it<\/a>\u00a0\u2013 the qualification must be assessed by the competent authorities, as listed in Legislative Decree No. 206 of November 6, 2007, before the visa application has been submitted.<\/p>\n<p>The documentation proving the relevant education issued by authorities\/entities NOT belonging to EU countries, must be submitted in certified copy (or copy conforming to the original), after having been legalized by these offices or apostilled by the competent authorities, accompanied by a translation into Italian. The translation must be certified as faithful to the original text.<\/p>\n<ol start=\"6\">\n<li>Proof of annual legitimately derived sources of income, which must be at least triple the prevailing minimum amount (\u20ac8,500.00) level set by the current national legislation, with regards to the exemption from participation in medical and public assistance;<\/li>\n<li>Availability of a suitable lodging;<\/li>\n<li>Health insurance covering the entire length of the stay;<\/li>\n<li>Previous experience in the field of work (6 months minimum);<\/li>\n<li>Round-trip travel ticket reservation for short-term Schengen Visa shorter than 90 days. One way travel tickets reservation for long-term National visa longer than 90 days.
