Within the framework of the economic and commercial relations, it provides the following services:<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Information<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Economic Relations between Italy and Malta<\/li>\n<li>Economic data on Italy and Malta<\/li>\n<li>A Frame of Reference for Company Law<\/li>\n<li>Major maltese Trade fairs<\/li>\n<li>International Tenders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>Assistance<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Informative assistance and support to enterprises interested in operating in\u00a0Malta<\/li>\n<li>Delegations of Italian entrepreneurs in\u00a0Malta\/Chambers of Commerce\/Regions<\/li>\n<li>Facilitation in the resolution of commercial disputes<\/li>\n<li>Trade information<\/li>\n<li>Support for promotional events by Italian Companies \/ Italian Institutions in Malta<\/li>\n<li>Coordinating relations between Italian and Maltese Institutions \/ Chambers of Commerce<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>Promotion<\/strong><\/b><\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Events presenting Made in Italy products<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<b><strong>INVEST IN MALTA<\/p>\n<p>I) Malta Entreprise<\/p>\n<p>Malta Enterprise (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maltaenterprise.com\/\"><u>www.maltaenterprise.com<\/u><\/a>)\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>is government\u2019s exclusive agency focused on attracting inward investment and supporting enterprise in Malta.\u00a0 Its role is to act as a single point of contact for all enterprise support in Malta and to provide cohesion to government policies and efforts relating to enterprise in this country.<\/p>\n<p>Malta Enterprise provides a comprehensive package of assistance and advisory services to international companies and investors considering operations in Malta. These include professional pre-investment advice and support, start-up assistance as well as a suite of post investment services and aftercare facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Malta Enterprise is dedicated to finding solutions to the particular business needs of international companies and does so by delivering a range of tailor-made services which include professional pre-investment advice and support, start-up assistance as well as a suite of post-investment services and aftercare facilities.<\/p>\n<p>Malta Enterprise is enabled by the Malta Enterprise Act (ME Act) to support the development of enterprise in Malta.\u00a0 Malta Enterprise has developed a\u00a0<b><strong>new set of incentives<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0<b><strong>the promotion and expansion of industry and the development of innovative enterprises<\/strong><\/b>. Malta Enterprise provides incentives for foreign direct investors and local enterprises demonstrating commitment towards growth and increase in value added and employment.<br \/>\nEnterprises engaged in manufacturing, ICT development activities, Call Centres, Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Biotechnology, among others, may benefit from these incentives.<\/p>\n<p>The incentives are subdivided into six (6) separate themes, namely:<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Investment Aid:<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0Companies engaged in specific activities can benefit from\u00a0<u>tax credits<\/u>\u00a0on capital investment and job creation.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>SME Development:<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0<u>Grants<\/u>\u00a0targeting the creation and development of innovative start-ups, and the development of forward looking small and medium-sized enterprises.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>R&amp;D and Innovation:\u00a0<\/strong><\/b>Various incentives will be offered to stimulate innovative enterprises to engage in research &amp; development.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Access to Finance:<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0Companies may be assisted through loan guarantees, soft loans, loan interest subsidies or royalty financing in the case of highly innovative projects.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Enterprise Support:<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0Assistance to businesses to support them in developing their international competitiveness, improving their processes and networking with other businesses.<\/p>\n<p><b><strong>Employment and Training:<\/strong><\/b>\u00a0These incentives are administered by the Employment &amp; Training Corporation.\u00a0 Enterprises are supported in recruiting new employees and training their staff.<\/p>\n<p>To know more:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/support.maltaenterprise.net\/\"><b><strong><u>http:\/\/support.maltaenterprise.net\/<\/u><\/strong><\/b><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"The\u00a0Economic and Commercial office\u00a0of the Embassy of Italy in Malta is competent for the economic and commercial relations with Malta.
